At Taui Balms, we listen closely to what our customers are saying, and one of the requests we heard over and over was to make a lighter balm that would get absorbed quickly into the skin and could be used as a morning facial moisturizer.
So when we set out to create a new balm, we knew that we wanted to make a lighter formula, something between a solid balm and a liquid oil. We spent hours researching the most effective natural oils. One of the challenges of having only four ingredients is that every ingredient has to do alot of work!
We had been playing around with Baobab oil for a couple years and we knew that we wanted to include it in our next balm because it worked so well as a moisturizer. The only issue is that Baobab is a heavy oil and so our experiments all ended up being thick. So we started experimenting with Marula oil, which is very light and often used as a facial oil. And, hundreds of jars later, our face balm was born!
What's so great about Baobab Oil?

The Baobab tree is a native African tree with a lifespan of about 6000 years. It produces a fruit that is supposedly one of the most nutritious fruits on earth. Baobab seed oil is the oil that is extracted from the seeds of that fruit.

What's so great about Marula Oil?
